The Eriskay Pony is the last remnant of Scotland’s native horse and a jewel in the crown of Scotland’s natural heritage. Despite this, there are fewer than 300 Eriskay Ponies in the world and it is listed as critically endangered. Lochoir Pony Stud currently has just over 60 ponies, although a handful are not eriskay's - the rest are. What a wonderful job, Sheila has done in her contribution to a critically endangered species.
